Meet The Team
Ari Zartarian
Chief Executive Officer
Ari Zartarian is a distinguished professional with a rich and diverse educational and professional trajectory. He embarked on his academic journey at the University of Michigan, where he pursued philosophy and literature, subsequently deepening his literary studies at Harvard. Transitioning into the legal and political arena, Ari served in Washington D.C. for a congressman, an experience that preluded his acquisition of a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law. His global perspective was further enhanced by studies in international business in Kyoto, Japan.
After passing the Michigan bar exam, Ari ventured into the real estate sector, initially joining a management firm where he specialized in acquiring multifamily real estate. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Folio Offices, a thriving coworking space with locations in Ferndale and Berkley, Michigan. Currently, Ari manages a portfolio of multifamily projects, with a focus on the upcoming completion and leasing of units in new multifamily constructions, leveraging his extensive knowledge in law, politics, and international business.
Josh Goldberg
Chief Financial Officer
Josh Goldberg is the Chief Financial Officer at Legacy Equities LLC, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. In his current role, Josh oversees all financial operations, accounting, and management of the company's real estate units, in addition to managing employee operations. His expertise in financial management and real estate law makes him an integral part of the company's leadership team.
Before joining Legacy Equities, Josh gained valuable experience through internships at Beztak Properties and Morgan Stanley. At Beztak Properties, he reviewed financial statements for new acquisitions, and monitored construction projects. During his time at Morgan Stanley, Josh analyzed data within the wealth management division, and created savings and investment plans for clients.
In his role at Legacy Equities, Josh manages a large portfolio of assets, a testament to his financial acumen and strategic approach to asset management.
Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Oakland University (2018) and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (2023). He successfully passed the Michigan Bar Exam in 2023 and is a licensed attorney, with membership in the Michigan Bar Association. His areas of expertise include accounting, finance, real estate law, and landlord-tenant law.
Outside of his professional life, Josh enjoys lifting weights, and running. He also loves spending time with his goldendoodle, Charlie, who is a cherished part of his life.
Mark Zartarian
Chief Corporate Counsel
Mark G. Zartarian serves as the Chief Corporate Counsel, bringing a wealth of legal expertise to his role. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mark is also an educator and was employed by Wayne State University Law School to teach contract law to first-year law students. His commitment to legal education reflects his deep knowledge and passion for the law.
Mark has made significant contributions to the legal field through his published works. His articles include "Conservation Easement: Latest Weapon in Syndication of Certified Historic Structures," "IRS Gets Tough, Increased Penalties," and a piece for the Wayne Law Review on "State and Local Taxation." These publications underscore his expertise in complex legal matters and his ability to communicate intricate concepts effectively.
Mark's academic journey is distinguished by his studies at prestigious institutions, including the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Wayne State University. He also spent time studying in London, England. He graduated from the Honors College with Magna Cum Laude and High Honors, majoring in Economics and Mathematics, which laid a strong foundation for his analytical approach to the law.
Outside of his professional life, Mark is a dedicated powerlifter and chess enthusiast. He is also actively involved in volunteering with various charitable organizations, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to the community.
Talia Zartarian
Executive Operations Manager
Talia Zartarian is the Executive Operations Manager at Legacy Equities LLC, located in Farmington Hills, MI. In her role, Talia oversees office operations, manages apartment leasing, handles budgeting for property renovations, and leads a team of employees. Her expertise in maintaining high occupancy rates for residential properties and her strong communication skills have been key to the company’s success.
Before joining Legacy Equities, Talia successfully owned and operated a clothing store for ten years, where she managed international sales and developed her entrepreneurial acumen. She also gained valuable experience working in graphic design and as a social media manager, which has broadened her professional skill set.
Talia has a background in business marketing and fashion management, and she is known for her strong time management, social interaction, and communication abilities. Her diverse experience allows her to navigate the complexities of the real estate industry with ease.
Michael Goldberg
Chief Operating Officer
Michael Goldberg is a Senior Partner at Freedman & Goldberg C.P.A.’s, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. With over 40 years of experience in accounting and finance, Michael has established himself as a leader in the industry. In addition to his role at Freedman & Goldberg, he is a partner in Legacy Equities and Countryside Group Investments, where he applies his extensive expertise in tax planning and deal structuring.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.). Throughout his career, he has authored numerous tax articles, contributing his knowledge to the broader financial community. His professional affiliations include memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), underscoring his commitment to maintaining the highest standards in the accounting profession.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Michael enjoys exercising and participating in various sports, reflecting his dedication to maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle.
